Bourbon County Brand Stout 2014 by Goose Island -Imperial Stout craft beer review

Pours into a snifter glass. Darkness everywhere… Virtually no head, whatsoever.

In the nose, we can detect heavy and rich aromas full of bourbon, which are accompanied by notes of vanilla, licorice, smoke, chocolate, ageing. Alcohol is rather present, but not overwhelming. A very impressive and promising nose…

Goose Island - Βοurbon County Stout

Intense taste and rather sweet, with a little burn at the end, which follows the aromas a great deal. In addition, wooden tones, some nuts, and black forest essence are coming out, giving an even greater complexity to this superb brew. Extravagantly viscous and full body, with a silky and creamy texture. The bourbon is still dominant, and very pungent.

Overall, one the most luscious Imperial stouts we have ever savored. Every beer enthusiast should give it a try and immerse himself in this decadent ale… Definitely, lives up to the hype…
