David Lynch and Mark Frost to release New Twin Peaks in 2016

Only a couple of months after releasing Twin Peaks – The Entire Mystery [Blu-ray] [Region Free] in blue ray, David Lynch through a special announcement on twitter released a teaser showing the scene where Laura Palmer promises Agent Cooper that they will meet again in 25 years and then the date “2016” confirming this way that Twin Peaks will release a new third season sometime in 2016. It is also confirmed that Lynch will work along Mark Frost and that the series – which frustrated me so much back in the 90s when I originally saw it and left so many questions unanswered – will pick up where season 2 left and in particular 25 years later as Ray Wise hinted early this year so hopefully we’ll get some answers…..not!

This, along with the fact that the new season will conclude in 9 episodes are the only hints known but we;ll keep updating as new announcements are expected in the coming months.
