A Little God In My Hands is the first track to be taken from Swans‘ forthcoming album ‘To Be Kind‘ released on Mute on 12 May / 13 May on Young God Records (North America). The album features several special guests: Little Annie, St. Vincent, Mute labelmate Cold Specks and Bill Rieflin, the album was produced by Michael Gira, and recorded by John Congleton at Sonic Ranch, Texas. Further recordings and mixing were accomplished in Dallas, Texas. ‘To Be Kind‘ will be released on triple vinyl, double CD, download and 3 disc deluxe Edition (including a live DVD).

Peter Hook to perform Joy Division & New Order concerts in 2014

Only few days after his statement that he’d rather play with Saddam Hussein than New Order again, Peter Hook & The Light are to perform their first ever concerts of New Order’s “Low Life (1985)” & “Brotherhood” (1986) with two special Manchester & London shows at The Ritz, Manchester and Shepherds Bush Empire, London in September 2014. The gigs will feature all material from the band, 1983 – 1987, “From Confusion To True Faith”. Tickets for both concerts on general sale from 9am Fri 29th Nov 2013 at Alt Tickets here –  Tickets also include a charity donation to MIND & Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy.

A month before the two new order gigs and in particular the 15th and 17th August the known bass player will perform the classic album “unknown pleasures” in full at Boughton House, Kettering.Peter Hook will perform a set of Joy Division songs chosen by fans at a festival next yea and if you wish to pick your favourite Joy Division song, see Alt-Fest’s Facebook page where he will be performing along with Killing Joke and Arch Enemy.
